Dartmouth to host J80 Sailing World Championships 2012
The J80 Sailing World Championships are to take place from 9th -15th June 2012. The Britannia yacht club has agreed to act as the senior hosting club for the championships, working along side the Royal Dart Yacht club & the J80 Uk class association. It will also host the national championships before the world event in June next year.The opening ceremony will be hosted Britannia Royal Naval College & it will also be the venue for the prize giving dinner at the close of the Regatta. It will be wonderful to bring the world championships with international yacht racing to the port of Dartmouth & will provide a spectacular scene on the water.
